These terms are between you and Northcube Ltd ("we", "us"), company number 16791490, registered at 50 Wash Lane, Bury, BL9 6AS, United Kingdom. By creating an account or using Batin you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Batin is a personal spiritual companion app for Muslims. It offers reflection prompts, content drawn from the Islamic tradition, prayer and dhikr tracking, and AI-generated responses to what you write.
Batin is not a substitute for a qualified scholar. Content is drawn from authenticated sources and presented with references, but it is selected and phrased by software. For any question of religious ruling, consult a qualified scholar who knows your circumstances.
Batin is not therapy, and not a crisis service. It cannot diagnose, treat, or provide clinical care. If you are struggling with your mental health, please speak to a doctor or a qualified professional.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
What you write in Batin belongs to you. We claim no ownership over it.
You grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to operate the service — to generate responses, show your history, and reflect your patterns. That licence exists only for that purpose and ends when you delete your account.
We do not use what you write to train AI models, and our AI providers are contractually prevented from doing so.
Verses, hadiths and narrations are drawn from recognised sources and shown with their references so you can verify them.
The app draws on the Hanafi school by default. Where scholars differ, the position shown may not be the one you follow. Islamic content is presented for reflection and is not a fatwa.
Where AI generates connecting or explanatory text, it can make mistakes. Always check the reference given.
We aim to keep Batin running reliably but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, and we may occasionally need to take the service offline for maintenance. AI features depend on third-party providers and may be unavailable at times.
Batin is currently free. If paid features are introduced, terms and prices will be shown clearly before you are charged, and purchases will be handled by the App Store or Google Play under their refund policies.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. This permanently erases your data and cannot be undone.
We may close an account that breaches these terms, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we will give reasonable notice so you can retrieve anything you want to keep.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that: Batin is provided as-is. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for decisions you make based on content in the app, or for loss of data beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app before taking effect. Continuing to use Batin after that means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections in your country of residence.
